Description
Ancient Emerita Augusta (modern day Merida Spain ) was a very large city, which needed three aqueducts. The city map identifies this one is the San Lázaro aqueduct although there seems to be conflicting information on the web! The San Lázaro Roman aqueduct was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1912 (a category of heritage register in Spain).
